How to Cancel Pop Up Reminders

Struggling

Does anybody know how to disable the pop up calendar reminders i
Outlook2000.

I have "unchecked" the Default Reminder under Tools, Options, Pref'
but my appointments keep popping up. Is there anything else I can do?
