How to change "calculate" keys?

I have changed the (Cmd + "=") to the F13 key for the calculate command. It
works sometimes and does not work sometimes. I have Mac Leopard, 10.5.6.
How do I change it so it works all the time in all sheets?

Thank you,

Hi,

It depends on what you are trying to do with the calculate key. It has two
functions 1. recalculating the spreadsheet 2. calculating the value of a
selected portion of a formula.

If you are doing the second one then you would do better to use the Edit,
Paste Special Values command or customize to toolbar with that command.
However, you could assign it to the F13 key as follows - choose Tools,
Customize, Customize Keyboard, Category - Edit, commmand Paste Values. Put
the cursor in the Press new shortcut key, and press F13, then Add, OK.

Hi,

I might also add that there is a second built-in shortcut key for Calculate
instead of the Command+Shift+= combination there is Shift+F9
