How to change column headings in Excel??

Hi,

I want to change column headings from "A", "B" ....to what I want to have.
Is there any way to do this?

Please let me know

No, but you can fake the display:

Put your desired headings in Row 1. Change the shading in row 1 if
desired. Choose Preferences/View and uncheck the "Row & column headers"
checkbox.

If you do the same thing in the first column, and check the
Preferences/Calculation "Accept labels in formulas" checkbox, you can
use them in calculations. For example:

A B C <=== hidden
1 Apple Pear
2 Shelves 4 7
3 Warehouse 35 19

Then you can use

=Pear Warehouse + Pear Shelves

which will return 26. Other examples:

=SUM(Apple) ===> 39
=SUM(Apple:pear Warehouse) ===> 54

Not sure if this is quite what you want, but you can turn off the column and
row headers all together and then use the first row and column to create
your own. Then just freeze the panes so they don't scroll out of sight.

This is an easy way to get the same effect.
