I'm having a problem importing reports in a new format as the previous(csv
w/headers) format is no longer available to me and the option i have now is
producing a blank table with no data. How can i solve this problem and where
can i look up previous spec. develop by another user. My current saving
options are:
MS Excel (*.xls)
TabText (*.txt)
Comma Text (*.CSV)not working
dbaseII (*db2)
dbaseIII(*dbf)
DIf Format (*dif)
Multiplan sylk (*slk)
Windox Metafile(*wmf)
Lotus 123 1.0A(*wk5)
Lotus 123 1.1+(*wk1)
SQL SYntax (*.sq1)
Windox Metafile

It’s not working because when you click import only symbols appear, and in
the import form the result is a blank table.

It is more likely the data is not in the expected format or the specification
is incorrect.
If you open the csv file in Excel, what does it look like?

Yes, excel has the headers and i'm able to convert the file to csv/w headers
from the excel version. however, i have one file that is too large for
excel, which i'm having a problem importing. Can you like the steps to find
the current import spec? Maybe i can change that to tab text.

I would start the import manually, that is using File, Get External Data,....
When I got to the wizard, I would select advanced, choose the existing spec
and then make changes and save it.
Not a guarantee it will work, but it is a place to start. You may have to
create a new spec.
