how to change default values (delimiter etc) for Export Wizard

In MS Access, when you start Export Wizard (selecting Text file as format),
is there a way to set 'delimiter', 'include field names' and 'text qualifier'
options to 'tab', 'Yes' and 'None' by default? I have to change them every
time. I dont want to create an export specification for every export
(especially those which I might do <3 times).

Selection of 'Text (Tab delimited)' is not available at all. That would have
taken care of at least one option above - delimiter.

Subodh Joshi,
after you start the wizard, there is a button called <Advanced>.
Click this button to set the options you want.
There is a button to save and give a name to this combination of options -
which is called a specification.
Once you have saved the specification with an easy to remember name, you can
use for as many exports as you like.
You can create a new specification with a new name while keeping the
previous specification.

When you want to do an export, you choose one of your saved specifications.

Hi Jeanette,
yes, I can create export specification but for a tbl/qry to be exported just
one or twice, its an extra effort. If I can set the default specifications as
in my message, that will apply to 90% of my exports and save me lot of
clicks/time. Hence the need to change defaults.

You can modify an exsiting specification. That way, you can still use the
same code that uses the specification without have to modiy it.

Dave,
actually, this would result in even more clicks/time - I need to open the
spec and change it. So that wont work. I wish there was a way to modify
wizards through vb.

Not sure I'm understanding your difficulty.
Once you create a specification you can use it as many times as you like.
Create and save all the specs you will need and then you have them.
It would take about 15 mins, save them with names that make sense to you -
then it's done.
