How to change graphic for only one SmartArt object

L

Lars

Hello

When I change the size of one SmartArt grapical object the size and position
of all other SmartArt grapical objects are changed ! I also cannot mark one
object and use the menu for Size to change only this object - the Size
function applies to the drawing sheet - not to the objects. This means that I
have to make several adjustments and end up with something nearly not
acceptable. I suspect there are some autoformat function that is interfearing
.... Please advice!

Hi Lars,

Can you give an example of which SmartArt Layout you're using and what effect you're wanting to achieve?

When you have inserted a SmartArt Object into a document, if you use the
SmartArt Tools=>Format
set, the 'Size' group on the right sizes the SmartArt canvas. The 'Shapes' group on the left of that ribbon can resize one or more
shapes depending on what you have selected within the SmartArt Canvas.

For example, if you choose the 'Continuous Picture List' layout, you can click on the first rectabgular item on the left and use the
'Shapes=>Smaller' tool and only the rectangular shape will downsize, while the circular picture holder stays unchanged. If you hold
the ctrl key and click on both the first rectangle and then the circular picture place holder, both will downsize using the
'Shapes=>Smaller tool. You can also change any shape within the SmartArt Canvas to a different shape.
