How to change layout of mult-page document?

I will be creating a 200+ page book in Publisher 2003. If I want to change
the margins or column numbers after importing all the text from Word, how can
I do it without changing each text box manually on each page? I thought
editing and applying the Master Page would do that, but it appears to only
show the guides.

Create a text box to your margin specifications on the first page of your
document. Right-click the text box, click change text, text file, browse to the
Word file. Publisher will automatically create text boxes and pages.

Thanks for your quick response. I tried your suggestion, but when I click on
Change Text, the command Text File is gray (not a choice).

As I work with the document in Publisher - adding photos and captions - I
likely will be doing some minor editing of the text. My concern is that once
I've started this project and have much of it done, can I change my mind
about layout (margins, column numbers, etc.) without having to start all over
again from the Word document?
