How to change Reading Pane Font Size in Outlook 2007

I have seen this question asked many times, however I have yet to see an
answer or a confirmation that it can't be done.

Is there a way to permanently change the font size for all messages that
appear in the reading pane of Outlook 2007?

to change the fontsize in the previewpane, point (don't click) into the
preview pane ,press CTRL key while turning the mousewheel...

I think you may have missed the part where I said I wanted to change it
"permanently".

I believe your solution has to be applied each time I select a new message
to read.
