How to change Resource allocation % for all tasks

I'm using MS Project 2002.

I have allocated one of my resources for 80% for my project, but now, my
manager has told me that I can only use him for 50% for the entire project.

Q: How can I change the % of allocation for this resource FROM 80% TO 50%
for all his 125 tasks without going through each one individually?

First change his maximum allocation to 50%. Group the tasks on the
resources so you don't have to hunt for all of his. Open the Assign
Resources dialog box. Select all of his tasks - easiest would be to click
the selector button for the first task, scroll down and hold down shift
while clicking the selector of the last one. Edit his resource assignment
from 80 to 50. Note - make sure the task's Task Type is appropriate before
editing him - most tasks probably should get longer if you change the
assignment so fixed work or fixed effort would be the correct setting.
Check for over-allocations remaining and level if needed
