how to change search feature webpage

I need some help with altering the search function page. Right now I'm using
frames with a left side tool bar. I have put the search box in the left frame
where I want it and it is opening in the main body of site where I would like
it(I'm not sure why it opens there but its working). But when the search
results apear in the the mainbody of the site, the results are reproduced
along with the tools which looks very bad and I cant figure out how to align
the search results. You can see the site at

You need a different search engine. The FrontPage search engine will
reproduce the page the search box is on, with the results placed under
the search box.
You could add JavaScript and CSS to the page that detects which window
the page is opening in, and then hides unwanted items (such as the
menu).

An alternative, better, approach is to lose the frames altogether. IMO
your site needs shorter pages, and losing frames will not do any harm -
the main frame produces a bottom scroll bar in my browser.

If I have to do it all over again I would not use frames. But the site is
huge now and I think it would take forever to change it.

Is there a website search function I could incorperate that you suggest?
