how to change settings from cm to inches in the tabs setting and m

I get commas when it comes to excell for periods and cm in the tabs and
setting for page settings
How do I change it

It sounds like you have the wrong setting for your Windows regional location.
Look in Start > Settings > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options.
