how to change sound for flagged/urgent emails?

ok. this is killing me and it's probably really simple but...

I'm on a pc w/ XP (fully updated) w/ Office 2003. We are on exchange 2003 as
well.

When we receive an email that's been flagged (the 'high priority' flag), we
get this triple beep sound/alert.

I'd really like to change this. I checked control panel>sounds & audio
devices, and there's a general email alert notification, but nothing specific
to the 'high priority' flag.

I checked all the options under 'Outlook>tools>options, and even checke
everything in control panel>mail.

Can't find it anywhere so... is there a way to change this setting?

Thanks,

Jim

Look under your Rules and Alerts. There is an option to play a sound when a
certain event happens.

Thanks Milly.

That worked, partly. I now have the desired sound/wav attached to emails
that are flagged as "high importance", but I also still have the default
triple beep. That is, when I get an email flagged as high importance, I first
get the triple beep sound, then the wav file that I used in the rule I
created.

Is there a way to get rid of that default beep?
