How to change the default position of cursor when writing an email

I often times accidentally hit enter (usually with my touchpad) while I'm
typing an email or a reply to an email. Since the cursor, by default, sits
on the send button I will sometimes send the email prematurely. When I'm
thinking about it, I'll move my cursor off of that button before I start
typing, but other times I forget to do that and end up sending a message
before it's done.

One trick is to fill in the Addressee field(s) last, after the email is
composed and checked. If you accidentally try to send it, you'll get an
error message. I realize this doesn't help in replies.

What I do is to leave "Send Email Message Immediatly" turned off. That way
if accidentally sent, it will sit in the out box till you hit send/receive
or till the next scheduled send receive.
