Hi, I hope that someone will be able to help me. When I'm at home I access to my work e-mail address and I can login to it from Entourage and receive the e-mails, but when I need to send an e-mail I have to use my gmail account and the recepient of my emails sees my gmail email address instead of my work one. Anyway to fix it? In other words I need the recepient of my emails in the box "from" to see (e-mail address removed) instead of (e-mail address removed). Sorry for the long description but Im not a computer guru and a step-by-step guide would be much appreciated! Thank you for taking time to read this message.

Diane, thank you for the comment! That helped, but unfotunately the recepient still sees my gmail address (however he does reply to my @123.com:)). Are there any other ways to solve this?

If you're using an IMAP Gmail account then I believe it will always show
the correct "From" address regardless of how you set it. That may apply
to POP accounts too, but I'm not sure. This is to prevent spammers from
using Gmail.

Find out if your company offers a secure method of sending through its
server. This is usually done by providing you a different SMTP port
number or requiring you to use your name and password to send as well as
receive.

Keep in mind that if you try to send mail that *says* it's from
"(e-mail address removed)" but is really coming from "456.com" then some E-mail
servers will flag that as spam and not allow it through to the recipient.

You really, really want to work to send through your company server and
no other server.

Hope this helps!

If the Entourage situation is never resolved, does your company offer a
web-based e-mail?

Thank you for all your messages+advise. I was able to resolve the problem by changing the settings in gmail (for ayone who might be in the same situation - login to your gmail account, change the "send" e-mail in the setting, verify your new address to be displayed, of corse you have to be the owner of the shown address).

Thank you once more:)

I believe you can change that somewhere (but I don't remember where) on
the gMail setup pages.
You might have to go through a verification process to prove that the
address is indeed yours, but you should be able to change there the
address showing up for e-mails sent through their SMTP.
