how to change the order of section groups

Hi, I would like to determine the order of things in my notebook myself
(instead of alphabetically). This works fine with sections, but not with
section groups. Is there a way to rearrange the order of section groups
within a notebook (even interleaving them with sections?).

Unfortunately, there is no way to reorder section groups.

thanks for answering. I wonder, is this a feature that can be created by
programming an add-on? or is this a fundamental limitation of the way onenote
stores its data?

It's not so much a fundamental limitation, but more of not having the
time to work through all the problems and get a good user experience
(especially considering that section groups can contain other section
groups, and so on). With multiple notebook support, we really wanted to
focus to make that experience "right", so we focused on notebooks over
section groups.
