How to change the Status Manager on multiple tasks

G

Gail

I created a project based on a template. All the tasks have a ststus manager
of the person that created the template. I can change the Status Manager to
me-but-only one task at a time. I thought I could drag the value of the cells
down the list like you would in Excel, but that did not work. How can I
change the many tasks, other than one at a time?

If you cannot use the Fill Handle to drag the Status Manager value, then you
are seeing a pre-Service Pack 1 bug in Project Professional 2007. I would
strongly recommend that your Project Server administrator update your
Project Server 2007 system with the latest Service Packs and Cumulative
Updates, and then all users of Project Professional 2007 do the same. Since
Microsoft introduced Project Server 2007, they have released Service Pack 1,
the Infrastructure Update, and Cumulative Updates every couple of months
beginning in August. These updates are for WSS 3.0, Project Server 2007,
and Project Professional 2007. Hope this helps.

We have been on SP1 and we just did the Infrastructure Update in addition to
the Cumulative updates through December. I am able to see the + when at the
bottom right of the cell and I am able to drag downward, but the cell
contents do not copy down. I also can get the 4 way arrow when I am focused

But have you applied these updates to your Project Professional 2007 client?
It is not enough to apply the updates to WSS and Project Server 2007. Let
us know.

We did now install the updates on the Project Professional client and this
works as expected.

Thank you
