How to change the timescale in MS Project Server web interface?

Hisham

Hi,

I am using MS Project Server 2003 with web access interface. I need to
change the timescale that appears with the server views but I could not find
where this can be performed in MS Project Server. Even when I reviewed the
documentation of project server, it was mentioned that you can change but the
secret remains HOW!?

I appreciate any support on this regard.

Regards,
Hisham.

Hisham:

I'm assuming you're talking about the Gantt chart timescale. If you click on
the zoom in and zoom out icons (located next to the "Link Documents" icon on
the menu bar immediately above the Gantt chart) you can change the timescale.

Hope this helps.

The documentation is simply wrong. When you define a new custom Project
Center or detailed Project view in PWA, you cannot control the timescale
setting in the View definition, in spite of what the documentation says.
Since you cannot control this in the View definition, you need to make this
a training and performance issue with your users, particularly your
executvies. Teach them how to use the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons to
control the level of zoom and then hope they do what you teach them to do!
:) Hope this helps.
