how to change the tracking method on tasks with actuals

Hello,

The "Force project managers to use the progress reporting method specified
above for all projects" option was not checked and a Project Manager changed
the tracking method in his project.
It's easy to change back to the "enterprise" method for tasks without
actuals.
Is it possible to remove the actuals on tasks that already started, and
change their tracking method?

Thanks ahead for your help!

Once a team member has submitted actuals on a task, and the PM updated those
actuals into the Microsoft Project plan, it is not possible to roll back the
actuals and change the method of tracking for that task to the new method of
tracking. Therefore, I would recommend that you immediately "lock down"
your organization's method of tracking so that this does not happen again.
Then I would recommend that you and the PM do the following to resolve this
problem:

1. The PM should save the project as an .mpp file
2. You should delete the project from the Project Server database
3. The PM should open the .mpp file and set the % Complete value to 0% for
all completed tasks and in-progress tasks
4. The PM should save and close the .mpp file
5. The PM should import the project into the Project Server database using
Tools - Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise
6. The PM should republish the assignments using Collaborate - Publish -
Republish Assignments

Hope this helps.
