How to check word is installed

I am creating a VB application to add custom dictionary in word. In that i want to check whether word is installed. Also check for the version whether its 97/2000/XP.
How can i do this.. ?

Thanks for the mail.I read that article and tried the same. But the version is not displaying in a Win 98 machiene with Office 2000 SP-3 installed. Any idea why does this happen..?is it possible to get the info from registry.. ?

Hi Jinu,

I've never come across a case where the code in that article failed unless
there was a fault in the installation of Word itself.

Show me the exact code you are using.
