I've seen that before when the file gets corrupted. Save to XML or other
format and then bring it back. It should help.

the issue is
we have a set of macros, and user can install the macros. also can uninstall

install is to delete customized elements like modules, map and etc in
Global.MPT and then copy elements to Global.MPT.

uninstall is to delete customized elements like modules, map and etc in
Global.MPT

these actually work well before.

but the customer told us that it is very strange that now when he uninstall
(click the uninstall button), he got some error and then file is crashed.
(give some error notice, and asked whether he wants to send report or not)

I am not clear what the user has done. What we want to do is to clean up all
customized elements. Then install. The problem is we cannot delete them in
'Global.mpt' in tools->organizer. when you choose one and click delete, it
does not delete it and nothing happens.

does uninstalling the MS project software and reinstalling it help??
how can we get a clean 'Global.mpt' like we did not customize any elements.

thank you!!

Your Global.mpt file may have corrupted. Try renaming it to Global Old.mpt
after closing Project. When you re-start Project it should create a new
Project.mpt file for you.

Copy to a .mpp file any customized items you want to keep before the
renaming so you can then copy again to the new Global.
