Is there a way to clear / delete ' the list of recently used projects' on the
File menu? I like this feature, but they are a few of them in the list which
I am interested in and would like to get rid of them.. Thanks, Jay

Hello Jay,

Go to Tools > Options, General tab and uncheck the "Recently used
file list" check box. That will remove all items from the bottom of
the File list as well as from the Open list in the Getting started
task pane. It will clear all files listed. Sorry no way to
selectively clear files from the list. The default setting is to
show the 4 most recent but you can increase or decrease that number
as needed.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

These file names are stored in the registry. If you know what that is,
you can edit the list with regedit. If you don't, you shouldn't think
about it.

Thanks to Julie and Dave for the help.

Follow up to Dave: Using Regedit, thought of deleting the unneeded ones.
But, I am not able to find 'any of my 4 projects which show up' in registry
in my PC. I am accessing thru Citrix - MS Project Professional 2003 to access
the projects in ProjServer. Does this make it any difference (that my
projects are stored in Servers' somewhere in user profile or in its Registry?
Anyhow, I just cleared them all as Julie suggested, and reopened the ones I
need for now. --Jay

Hi Jay,
you can also go with the file explorer to C:\Documents and Settings
\<userName>\My Recent Documents and delete the appropriate files
manually. (Works in XP well)
Cheers Michael
