How to color spaces by values with boundaries defining different .

Hi,

I am wondering how to use the color by values feature in a space plan when I
have boundaries defining different departments in the same space/office? I
don't know if I should go back and assign multiple space shapes to the same
room/office for each department? I would have done this at the start but
then all the spaces would need to have the same room number as the unique
identifier and that would be problematic. Any suggestions? Thanks.

So, do you have many Spaces within a Boundary?
I use Department on the Space, and Boundary for floor zones - eg Net Usable
Area.
The Plan Explorer expects Spaces to be within Boundaries - not the other way
around.
Therefore, I think your best option is to have many Spaces within a Room,
because you want to use Color By Value on Department of the Spaces.
You could always add a suffix to the SpaceID for the multiple Spaces, but
keep the Name the same a the Room.
