How to completely remove Office?

I'm reposting this from a previous conversation as it is a separate subject.

I'd like to remove Office2008 completely (so that I can do a clean
re-install), including all preferences. I believe I can use Remove Office
but I would also need to somehow delete all preferences.

Does anyone know how?

Thanks!

I understand there may be risks involved, but a program called AppZapper
claims to remove all files installed by any app. You can download a demo
that gives you a certain number of free "zaps."

I've used it (though not on Office) with no ill effects.

Hi Michael:

Run "Remove Office" from the DVD, then do the extra bit I sent you earlier,
to take out all the preferences.

Remove Office cannot work properly unless the preferences are intact when it
runs.

cheers
