How to connect Access forms to SQL tables

I understand the techniques for connecting Access forms to SQL Server tables
using Access 2000 but I understand it has gotten easier in the newer
versions of Access. It is true that I can connect to SQL Server tables and
use the same forms and reports that were previously connected to Access
tables? Is there a White Paper or a web page that covers this topic?
