Because the service pack for Office 2003 is large is there a way of
downloading and storing what has been downloaded so that if the connection is
broken or there is a time limit on it you can re-connect and continue where
it left of.

Get one of the 72 million free download managers from
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=free+download+manager&btnG=Search
and use it to download SP3 from the Microsoft website. Or use a
web browser (such as Netscape) that has a download manager built
in. If you get disconnected in the midst of a download, the
download manager will resume the download at the point where you
were disconnected, instead of starting over at the beginning.
