How to control sync of calendar/deleted items with exchange 2003 on entourage 2004

Hello,

Does anyone know of a way to control the sync timings of entourage with
exchange, specifically for the deleted items and calendar folders? One
of our users periodically gets a "spinning beachball" when attempting
to type an email while entourage syncs with exchange.

Based on troubleshooting, it does appear you can (somewhat) control the
synchronization timing of specific folders if they are set on a
recurring schedule. As a result, we setup the following schedules
which have reduced the "boucing beachball" problem.

Entourage Schedules:
Send/Receive every 15 minutes
Empty Deleted Items/Junk Mail every 7 days

Unfortunately, entourage does not allow you set schedules for folders
other than inbox,sent,deleted items.

Setup:
MAC OS 10.3.9
Microsoft Entourage 2004 (11.2.1)
Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
Client/Server on LAN

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, entourage does not allow you set schedules for folders
other than inbox,sent,deleted items.

Have you considered making your folders subfolders under the Inbox?
