How to convert Access to VB Dot Net

B

Bill Nicholson

What tools are available to convert Access projects (Forms, Code, Queries,
Reports) to VB Dot Net?

Does anyone have experience with this type of conversion? Please tell me I
don't have to do it by hand!

Thanks,

I don't believe there are any tools. There are huge differences between
Winforms dotNet and Access VBA. The inital learning curve is pretty darn
steep too. Make sure you budget plenty extra time to get the conversion off
the ground. Good Luck!

I take that back. Did a little Googleation (new word) and looks like there
is a product available go here http://www.microtools.us/default.htm The
tool looks interesting and not to expensive if you already own Crystal
Developer or dont need to Access reports converted.

If you decide to buy and use this tool please do report back on your
experience. We have an Access app that we'd love to convert to a web app.
But we are in one of those "So much to do - So little time to get it done"
loops.
