Hi everyone,

I am trying to devise a way to convert HTML info on a survey page and
migrate it into Excel either as a .xls or .csv format. The survey page
is on an internal network that has to be accessed using an ID code that
is unique to that survey. I work in a company that does some marketing
and we send out emails to customers to fill out a survey. They go to
this site, enter their email and the ID code then they are prompted to
answer the survey questions.

The questions are then recorded and sent back to an internal tool that
stores each survey individually. At this time, there isn't a reporting
tool function which would facilitate the process. Also, the survey
questions are not set in a table format.

I wanted to know if there was a way whether using a macro or an
automated process, be able to extract data from the respondent survey
page and migrate and populate an Excel spreadsheet. The questions
either have an empty field below to enter your answer or radio buttons
that the respondent clicks for a particular answer. There are also a
number of questions that have drop down fields with different buckets.

The tool is somewhat limited in functionality in that you can only view
each respondent's answers separately. I am not looking for something
as sophisticated as a batch extraction tool or subroutine but something
I can add to an Excel spreadsheet and I can format later. A csv
format would be best I would assume.

You can import the data in Excel. Try this:

Launch Excel
From Data Menu, click on Import External Data (4th item from bottom)
New Web Query
Enter your web address
Import the data in $A1

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it seems I can't capture any of the respondent's answers
when trying to utilize the import external data feature in Excel. The
questions are not structured as a table and I can capture some of the
questions but none of the answers.
