Try saving the workbook as an HTML file.
You'll see a folder under the folder that holds the HTML file that contains all
the pictures in that workbook.

If you have PowerPoint, then right-click the picture in Excel and paste it
into a blank PowerPoint slide.

You can then save the slide as jpeg.

What version of excel are you using?

This may have been added in xl2002. I don't recall.

You might have to copy it as a picture: Select the picture, hold Shift while
clicking on the Edit menu. Copy turns to Copy Picture, choose the Bitmap
option, than paste into the image editor.

Is there any way/software to export any excel sheet directly to jpg/bmp
image. This should be possible without using excel.

The whole sheet? All 64k rows and 256 columns in xl2003???

Maybe you could use something like SnagIt from Techsmith.com to grab a portion
of the worksheet.

Or a free program like FastStone:

Or roll your own based on Harald Staff's code at David McRitchie's site:

Tried a "Print Screen" (at a suitable zoom), and then a "Crop" in PSP ?
Works for me....
