how to convert Lotus .lwp and .123 files to Office?

Lotus will write Office formats but I don't have the software any more. My
new PC has MS Office 2003, but it won't read my old Lotus files. I found a
converter, KeyView for Lotus, on the Lotus ftp site but it only shows the
text of Lotus files - formatting and formulae are lost - so spreadsheets and
some documents need a lot of work before they're usable again. It's better
than nothing but only just. Can anybody help?

You could try Open Office - www.openoffice.org - it's a 70MB download
though! Open Office reads and writes both Lotus and office files.....

Thanks Gordon

In the end I've bought a copy of Lotus Smartsuite 9.8 on Ebay for 16 quid,
after reading another post on here! Sorry, I should have read the forum
before I posted, but I found it through the support pages on the Microsoft
website, which leads you into posting a query before you're really aware that
all these forums exist.

Cheers

Other than 3rd party softwares not from Microsoft, there's no way to do this?

I have the Lotus Smartsuite and it can be saved into Microsoft Office files
in the Save As option. However, all the formating are gone. Supprisingly,
from Office, you can't open the Smartsuite files.
