How to convert Word documents to WPS document?

My new computer has Works not Word. Can I convert a doc file to wps file?

Because it's cheaper and you didn't (probably) want to pay the extra expense
for a computer that had Word.

I didn't even realize it would have Works, silly me for not asking.

Because it's cheaper and you didn't (probably) want to pay the extra expense
for a computer that had Word.

Not just silly you - foolish you. (We're all guilty of being foolish at
times.) Never, never, never just hand over your hard-earned money without
asking exactly what you are getting for it.

I would suggest if you need Word, figure out if you need any other Office
programs or not, then head on over to Microsoft's website to see which
edition of Office or Works Suite you might need. The second stop is
Amazon.com - their prices are usually several dollars less than the usual,
you actually get the CDs, and often have free shipping.

Actually you can! Recent Works versions will open Word documents. Special
features of Word are not supported, so the document may not look as it did
when opened in Word, but the documents can be opened. File > Open - select
document type.

To open Works documents in Word, you need the converter associated with the
Works version that created it. The full set is linked from the downloads
