How to copy and paste whole tables?

Jack

Hello,
After copying and pasting a table into different location that
table does not look the same, but it appears to asorb new dimensions
depending on the pasted location.
I have small table (created inside a cell) and I want to copy it and paste
it into another cell and to look the same.
How to do that?

there are other ways to do it but I haven't had luck consistently with them.
what works for me (other than doing it in html view) is to set the cursor
within the table then click table/ select/ table on the tool bar. then you
can copy and paste with the icons on the tool bar or from the right click
menu.

I usually copy and paste tables from within the HTML. That way you're SURE
the whole thing gets copied.

Tools | Customize | Commands

Under Categories column, select Table. Under Commands column, drag and drop
"Select Table" to your toolbar.

Next time you want to select a table, click anywhere in the existing table
and click on the Select Table icon. After that, it's just a matter of copy
and paste.
