How to copy names from an e-mail message and put them into a distribution list

M

Mark

I'm an Outlook novice. The help file is copied below,
problem is that it seems to be unhelpful. When I get to
the "Add to distribution list" box and right click, the
pull down menu doesn't include "paste", it
includes "action>" which leads to "dial" or "internet
call".

There's a different box, under "Type or select name from
list" which I CAN right click and past into. But that
doesn't seem to do me any good because names pasted there
don't seem to do anything.

Can anybody, please, put me on the right tract to
executing this simple function which I've spent 45
minutes dicking around with? E-mails very much
appreciated if you, obviously, delete NOSPAM.

Thanks,

Mark

In the e-mail message you want to copy the names from,
select the names in the To or Cc box.

On the Edit menu, click Copy.

On the File menu, point to New, and then click
Distribution List.

In the Name box, type a name for the distribution list.

Click Select Members. In the Add to distribution list
list, right-click, and then click Paste on the shortcut
menu.
