Hi,

Is there a way that I could save or copy a photo that I like from a power
point presentation that I have received in an email?
I have Windows XP home edition.

Thanks for any assistance that anyone can provide

This is a Mac PPT group you've landed in somehow.

You really want the PowerPoint group, not the Mac.Office.Powerpoint group.

But since we're here, do you have any version of PowerPoint or are you using
the free Viewer?

There's a free PowerPoint Viewer and there's an Office 2003 Evaluation version.
If you have the latter, open your file, rightclick the picture you're
interested in and choose "Save Picture" ... it'll sort of lead you from there.

Or choose Save As Web Page, choose HTML rather than Single File Web Page and
save. In the folder you save to, there'll be a whole subfolder full of stuff
including the original images in your presentation.

If you've just got the viewer, a screen capture utility might be your best bet.
Capture the screens with the photos you want then crop out the bits you're not
interested in.
