How to copy text from OneNote 2003 after trial has expired?

My trial for OneNote 2003 has expired. Now I want to copy all the text in
my OneNote files to Notepad or some other format which I can work with
without having to purchase OneNote. However, the "Copy" feature has been
disabled in OneNote. That just doesn't seem right. How is one supposed to
copy text from OneNote after the trial period has expired?

Thanks,
J.S.

That's correct behavior. You were only sampling the program with the Trial.
However, when you purchase the full version, all your files will be there
for further use.

We're looking into why that isn't working for you - copy/paste should not be
disabled. In the meantime, if you have a second machine you can install the
trial there, copy all your files over, then save them as Word docs, or HTML,
or copy/paste to Notepad as you wish.

I think that is improper behavior. If I decide not to buy OneNote I should
have the option to export my text to another application. All I want is to
be able to copy and paste my text into Notepad and I was under the
impression that it would be possible to do this even after the expiration of
the trial period.

That is what I thought so too - that copy/paste should not be disabled. I
should mention that recently I have installed SP2 for WinXP Pro. I am not
sure if that has any relevance to this issue.

Thanks for the suggestion regarding installing the trial on the second
machine. That's what I'll have to do since copy/paste has been disabled.

Set the your computer date/clock back to last month and
then you will be able to copy your files.

J.S.,

I had the same problem (copy/paste disabled after expiry of trial
version) and there's a much easier way than to install the program on
a second computer: Simply change the system date on your computer one
month back, start OneNote, retrieve your notes. Worked perfectly for
me.

BTW: I've bought OneNote now, but I HAD to get to my notes before it
was shipped. ;-)

Juerg
