how to count in report printing?

Hi, I have a report group by salesperson. The report shows every sales
person's sales for the month. In the detail section, it lists that
salesperson's customers and sales amount. Some sales person may not have
sales at all. So, every month, the number of sales person appears in the
report is not the same. I want to add a running number at every sales
person's header or footer. Like Sales person #1 Lynda, Sales person #2
Stacy, Sales Person #3 Dawn and so on.
At the end, the report shows total number of sales person has sales this
month.
How could I do that? Thank you.

If I understand correctly, you can add a text box to your detail section:
Name: txtPersonCount
Control Source: =1
Running Sum: Over Group
Then in the group footer, add a text box:
Control Source: =txtPersonCount
