How to countdown from a specific date and show it on a webpage

I want to show a countdown from a specific date. For instance, if I wanted
to countdown from Christmas, I want the website to show "There are x days
until Christmas!", where x equals the current days until Christmas.
I know html, but I am not familar with FrontPage and currently trying to
teach myself the program. Any help on the countdown would be helpful.

I have a countdown on my site and it is great. I got my script from

Using JavaScript. There are lots of clock scripts out there (lots of good
ones at: http://javascript.internet.com/clocks/). Specifically, check out
this one as a countdown to a date:

you can't do this in frontpage (or html for that matter); you need a
javascript or some other scripting language to do this.
