How to creat a thumbnail when not supported?

I'm looking how to create a thumbnail into my document using microsoft 2007
and i cannot create a thumbnail because it says that it isn't supported. So
how am i to create one so i can use it after into publisher?

How about with your favorite image editor? Irfanview comes to mind.
