Use another program like Producer. PowerPoint is not designed for this kind
of project.

It's enough to make your head explode, isn't it? ;-)

One nice way to do it, if you have to do this kind of thing often, is to
make
a normal page-by-page PDF, then use a program called Quite Imposing
(http://www.quite.com/) to do the imposition.

I always thought PP is not a good program for creating any kind of printed
document, but our company decided to switch to PP from Word and I end up
programming and customizing it to behave like Word and to my surprise it came
up very nice and now over 800 people in 5 continents are using it! It needs
a lot of programming for TOC table, chapter, subchapter, logos, running
tables … but if you do it in a correct way it works just fine , at last for
financial documents that we are creating in our company . The only problem is
the file size which is much larger than Word files, but I think nowadays we
don’t really care much about file size !
