Hi,
In Project View the Network diagram and build your chart. Then View the
Gantt chart. You now need to sort your tasks into logical phases or
iterations or groups and then create summary tasks and then you're nearly
done! I always add a Business Deliverables summary task at the top followed
by a constraints summary task. Constraints should be the only tasks driven
by dates and each needs a note to explain the constraint. Deliverables are
linked to the tasks that represent the completed deliverable and have
deadlines to reflect dates they need to be completed by.
Finally check every tasks with large amounts of Total Slack in case there
are missing links and you now have a good working Gantt chart!
