How to create a list in hierarchy or tree format?

I am creating a list of chess moves. Currently the list is in bullets and
sub-bullets as the possibilities branch out. I want to convert this to an
easier-to-follow tree or hierarchy view, where you see arrowed lines
branching out on every row.

Is this a feature of Word? How do I do it?

I have created genealogical charts using tables with borders applied
selectively. It takes a lot of planning (and some trial and error) but can
be done.
