How to create a PDF file from Word with active links in footer?

I have active links in the footer of a Word 07 document. When I converted the
file to PDF, only the links in the body of the document are active. Is there
a way to get header or footer links in a Word file to work in the converted
PDF file?

What sort of links? What are you using to create the PDF?
Using both Acrobat and the Office 2007 PDF add-in hyperlinks in the
header/footer to we addresses work just fine, however, hyperlinks that have
a display text that is not the link itself do not work in header/footers.

I used Word 07 with the PDF add-in. The hyperlinks did have different display
text. When I used the URL itself, it worked. Very disappointing, but thank
you for the info.
