How to create a trigger in Access?

P

Paul

I have three Access linked tables which are linked to three Excel
worksheets. I also upsized the three Excel linked tables to the SQL
database. I now have three pairs or six linked tables, three link to Excel
and three link to SQL. What I want to achieve here is whenever the end user
update the data in Excel, it will trigger off an event in Access to update
the other three SQL linked tables. The whold idea is the end user insist to
use Excel as a data entry tool, and data have to store in the SQL database
and an Access reporting application will be built based on the SQL linked
tables or using ODBC to the SQL tables directly. Somehow I just can not
create a REAL TIME Link between SQL and Excel just like I always do in
Access. That is the reason I used Access as a "Connector" to link SQL and
Excel.
