How to create BCC distribution list

Erol

Hi All,

I want to create a distribution where all my suppliers will be included.

I want the distribution list to send everybody on the list only BCC mails.
(basically I want all suppliers quotes)

Please let me know if there is a way.

Thanks in advance (I use MS Outlook 2000)

So, put the DL in the Bcc field. What's so hard about that?

Distribution lists are just that, lists, they have no control over how they
are sent, if you want bcc, put the list in the BCC field instead of the TO
field. To get to the bcc field, in the message, go View/BCC Field

My manager wants me to create one distribution list for every component. Lets
say if we have 5 major components and each have about 6 suppliers. My manager
doesn't want the engineers to type in (or even copy paste) the emails in the
distribution list. It is just more convenient for them.

We have a few engineers here and I can imagine at some point some may send
CC instead of BCC instead.

If this can't be done by MS Outlook 2000 is there a way to set it up by MS
Word?

Thank you

You cannot have Outlook treat a portion of a a DL differently from another
portion. It's a single item and there are no attributes for the members of a
DL other than Name and Address, so there's no where to store a value that
would change Outlook's behavior for individual members.

Word is not a mail client.
