How to create mandatory cells in a worksheet

Hi

I am creating worksheets with formulas, I want to make certain cells
mandatory and the users should type data in those cells. If no data is typed
then it should not proceed to next cell. I want that restriction to be built
in. I also want an error message to pop up to state mandatory cell data
should be entered.
