I would like to be able to auto-populate a large number of boxes with
information similar to the org chart/org chart wizard that imports data
from a database. No need to connect them. I can move them after they
load.
The data is currently in excel in rows, but I could easily put it in an
access database. I would like to link to excel or access, pull the
data in and create boxes with a few of the fields from each record (the
same fields for the entire group), and do this for all of the records.
The output would be a number of boxes with selected field data in them.
Is this possible? Is there any vba code out there for something like
this (I imagine that the org chart code is close, and is pretty much
what I want with the exception of the lines).
I am somewhat new to visio, but have an ok background in excel, access
and vba.
Thanks,
Ric
