how to create primavera layout in ms project?

I believe there may be something similar -

Try inserting a few new columns (outline code 1-?)

These fields should act in the same way as activity codes in P3

Set up the fields in Tools/customise fields

Type in the relevant data per activity

Now set up grouping -
Project
Group by
Customise group by
Select the outline code fields
Format as required
OK

(This can also work for text fields - if you have already populated those)

Let me know if this is what you were after (and please rate)

Thanks for the feedback.

I started off using P3, so I know how difficult it is to transfer to MSP.
Most things can be replicated. However, one thing that it can't do is a zero
float constraint. Also, in 2003 version(which I use) you cannot see the
driving task - This has been rectified in 2007.

Hi Larry

Sorry but I haven't checked my old posts for a while.

Oracle now owns Primavera

I'm sure I managed to do it like I did in P3 but can't remember

What I now do is put a value in front

eg

1) Engineering
2) Procurement
3) Factory
4) Site

Hope that helps
