how to create shapes with fixed height/width ratio?

I would like to assign a constant width/height ratio to all the shapes in my
drawing. Is there a way to achieve this?

Use the Size Position window. Select all the shapes and enter the new height
or width in the Size Position window.

Then you can lock the ratio using the menu
Format -> Protection -> Aspect Ratio

Do this apply for shapes in Database diagrams?
I can't have the width of my tables look standard in my diagram.

The Database diagram shapes are automatically sized based on content, and
are protected from user resizing for that purpose.
