I had a stencil I used for a specific modelling tool. That stencil used to
work in older versions of Visio, but do not work in this one. I would like
to create a simple, new stencil to replace the old one. It has only 4
components: circle, square, hexagon. I also need a connector with special
properties or behavior. The connector is a straight arrow. The connection
points on all shapes is in the center of the shape. I would like the
connector to connect two shapes at the center of each, but automatically go
BEHIND each shape, and have the arrowhead of the connector appear at the
perimeter of the shape it is pointing to (otherwise the shape covers the
arrowhead!)
This is used for a modeling exercise that requires frequent relocation of
all shapes, and therefore I do not want to use connection points a the side
of the shapes, or the diagrams quickly looks very sloppy.
Where do I start with this? Is there a good book that will explain this? Or
can I call Microsoft help and have them tell me exactly how to do this?
Would they be able to help me with this? This seems very simple, but I have
no idea where to begin...
Thanks!
