How to create subtotals for groups of tasks in some report or view

Hi,

I'm trying to do a report or view in which I need
subtotals of work grouped by a resource then by a grouping
of details (e.g. design DES1,DES2,DES3..., development
DEV1, DEV2, DEV3, ...) such as subtotal of all their
design tasks and also development tasks.

The Resource Workload report does not do subtotals of
tasks.

Hello,
Have you tried the Resource Usage view with a grouping : Project / Group by
/ More groups / New
Field Name : Group
Then by : select another resource or assignment field...
Select the "Group assignments, not resources" check box

Hi,

Thanks for the tip.

Another problem is when I use grouping in the Gantt View
on resource names. If there are 2 resources assigned to
the task then the view will group this as a separate row
even though the first resource is listed previous by
themselves. Any way to overcome this ?
